Hoboken, New Jersey & NYC Weekend Trip

This past weekend PJ and I visited a friend for his birthday and we went to Hoboken, NJ and NYC for a quick trip. This was my first trip to Hoboken and I absolutely fell in love with the neighborhoods and atmosphere! It felt like a NYC vibe, with less congestion and just as much to do. I would definitely want to go back to see what else Hoboken has to offer!

New York City

Chelsea Market - Corkbuzz
Favorite dish: Homemade ricotta with baguette (highly recommended!)
Also tried: grilled cheese with Gruyere and onions, meatball sandwich,
If we visit again: I'd love to do a wine sampling with other small plates.

Meatpacking District - The Chester (located in Gansevoort Hotel)
Our group stopped here for a beer before heading back for dinner. The Krombacher Weizen was a hit.

Hoboken

W Hoboken - LULU's
Our group stopped here for a cocktail before dinner. Rooftop terrace outside around 5p.m. during the summer was relatively empty, which worked for our group of 6.

P13R HBKN (Pier 13 Hoboken)
What a beautiful and fun way to spend a night looking at the city skyline! Food trucks line the entrance to the pier, while the pier itself features tables, games, and more. The bottled sangria was great for a summer night outside.
Food trucks we tried: Empanada Guy (chorizo empanada was incredible,) Carnivale (donuts for dessert)

Pilsener Haus & Biergarten
This is such an awesome hangout place! I really enjoyed the draft hard cider. We came here after dinner so we didn't grab any food but they had an awesome sausage menu, and the pretzels sounded wonderful too.

City Bistro
Walking up to this bar, you are greeted with a view of the Empire State Building, which at night is incredible. The rooftop deck is where we stayed most of the night. Spacious and really cozy.

Hoping to add more links for ease of browsing these places! Safe travels!
